We present a comprehensive kindergarten program that operates on a full-time basis. This program is designed with a focus on the child, employing developmentally appropriate methods within an integrated, extended-day framework for five-year-old learners. Our kindergarten initiative establishes a robust groundwork for early-years education in a secure and nurturing play-oriented setting, fostering the holistic development of children in the realms of physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains. The benefits received from full-day kindergarten
Kindergarten does not require school uniform. They can choose to come to school in casual clothes as long it is appropriate and follows our dress code expectations.
St. Edward's is currently transitioning from part-time kindergarten to full-time kindergarten. During this time, families who wish to continue with part-time would have their child come on days 1, 3, and 5 for full day, every other day kindergarten. Children in full-time kindergarten would receive enrichment learning on days 2, 4, and 6. Along with reinforcing the lessons on the previous day, children would receive more: prayer time, routine practice, music, socialization, social problem solving, self-regulation training, practicing of virtues, and assistance in outcomes that have not been achieved yet.
Parents will be given the option to transition from the part-time to the full-time program at any time. However, once transitioned, those in the full-time program cannot transition back into the part-time program.
